Overview
This 2-day hands-on training course provides participants with essential skills and knowledge in occupational first aid, basic life support (BLS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). It is designed to equip individuals with the confidence and competence to respond effectively to medical emergencies in the workplace, including injuries, trauma, cardiac arrest, and environmental hazards. Through lectures, skills demonstrations, simulations, and return demonstrations, participants will develop the necessary life-saving techniques to act as first responders during emergency situations.
Objectives
- Understand the principles of first aid and basic life support
- Respond quickly and effectively to common medical emergencies in the workplace
- Perform high-quality CPR and operate an AED properly
- Manage victims of bleeding, shock, fractures, soft tissue injuries, and poisoning
- Apply bandaging and immobilization techniques
- Demonstrate appropriate rescue and transfer techniques
- Participate in emergency evacuation procedures
- Pass both the practical and written evaluations for certification

Participants manifesting flu-like sign and symptoms as follow shall likewise be prohibited to attend the training

Pre- requisites
- None required
- Physically able to participate in practical exercises (e.g., CPR, rescue transfer)
- Basic literacy in English or Filipino (for exam and written materials)
