- Identifying questions, commitments, and action items
- Drafting responses based on the context of a conversation
Avoiding Common AI Email Mistakes
- Sending without reviewing
- Losing important context
- Using inappropriate tone
- Accepting fabricated details
- Allowing AI-generated messages to become generic or impersonal
Exercise: Inbox Challenge
Participants use Gemini to work through realistic email situations, such as:
- responding to a request;
- summarizing a lengthy conversation;
- writing a professional follow-up;
- improving an unclear message; and
- extracting action items from an email thread.
Integrative Activity: From Task to AI-Assisted Workflow
Participants apply the techniques learned throughout the program to a realistic workplace task.
They will:
- Define what they need to accomplish.
- Determine whether and how Gemini should be used.
- Identify what information can safely be shared.
- Develop an effective initial prompt.
- Refine the output through conversation.
- Review the result for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Produce a final work-ready output.
The activity reinforces a simple workflow participants can continue using after the program:
Think → Prompt → Review → Refine → Verify → Use
Training Approach
The program prioritizes guided demonstrations and hands-on exercises over lecture. Concepts are introduced in short segments and immediately followed by practical activities so participants can build confidence in using Gemini throughout the day.
Participants will use:
- Gemini web application for general AI-assisted work and learning
- Gemini in Gmail for email-related applications
Participant Requirements
Participants should have:
- An active organizational Google Workspace account
- Access to Gemini through their organizational account
