GenAI Toolkit for Non-Technical Professionals is a practical, hands-on capstone workshop designed to help professionals use generative AI tools without programming or advanced technical knowledge. The course focuses on practical workplace applications, helping participants select useful AI tools, create effective prompts, and develop AI-assisted workflows that can improve productivity and simplify everyday tasks.

Duration 2 days – 14 hrs

Overview

The GenAI Toolkit for Non-Technical Professionals is an advanced, hands-on capstone workshop designed to help professionals transform their existing generative AI knowledge into a practical, department-specific AI toolkit and workflow. The course focuses on applying accessible AI tools to real workplace challenges without requiring participants to develop complex software or write code.

Rather than simply learning how individual AI platforms work, participants will learn how to strategically select, combine, and apply multiple GenAI tools based on their specific business needs. Using tools such as Claude, Canva AI, Fireflies.ai, Notion AI, ChatGPT, and other productivity platforms, learners will explore how AI can support content creation, communication, research, reporting, meeting management, administration, and other everyday business processes.

A key component of the workshop is AI workflow design. Participants will identify a genuine challenge or time-consuming process within their department and map out how generative AI can assist at different stages of the workflow. They will define inputs, select appropriate AI tools, develop prompts, organize the workflow, and test the resulting outputs to create a practical AI-assisted solution.

The workshop places strong emphasis on practical business value and usability. Participants will evaluate their solutions based on factors such as productivity, efficiency, quality, ease of use, scalability, and alignment with departmental objectives. Through guided activities and instructor checkpoints, learners will have opportunities to identify gaps, improve their workflows, and strengthen their final solutions.

Participants will also present their completed workflows and receive structured peer and instructor feedback. This collaborative process allows learners to discover alternative approaches, refine their ideas, and identify opportunities to adapt their AI solutions for other tasks or departments.

Responsible AI adoption is integrated throughout the workshop. Participants will consider data privacy, confidentiality, accuracy, bias, human oversight, and appropriate use of AI-generated content when designing their workflows. This ensures that productivity improvements are balanced with responsible and secure AI practices.

By the end of the GenAI Toolkit for Non-Technical Professionals training, participants will have developed a functional, documented GenAI-powered workflow, supported by reusable prompts and selected AI tools. The capstone experience equips professionals with the confidence and practical skills to move beyond experimenting with AI and begin applying it strategically to improve workplace productivity, creativity, efficiency, and innovation.
