NoSQL Database is a practical training program designed to help IT professionals understand modern non-relational database technologies and their applications in large-scale data environments. The course covers essential NoSQL concepts, data models, database architecture, scalability, availability, distributed data storage, and real-world use cases. Participants will explore popular NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and HBase, gaining practical knowledge of how NoSQL databases can support high-volume, flexible, and distributed data workloads for modern applications, Big Data platforms, and cloud-based systems.

Course Overview:

NoSQL Database is a comprehensive, hands-on training program designed to help database and IT professionals understand, evaluate, and work with modern NoSQL database technologies. The course introduces the fundamental principles of NoSQL databases, including distributed and decentralized architectures, elastic scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, data models, and the advantages and limitations of different NoSQL database types.

Participants will gain practical experience with three widely used NoSQL technologies: HBase, Apache Cassandra, and MongoDB. The HBase module covers architecture, data modeling, schema design, HBase Shell and API operations, services, monitoring, and database management. The Cassandra module explores distributed architecture, data modeling, compound keys, clustering, indexing, querying, administration, monitoring, and large-scale deployment scenarios. Participants will also compare HBase and Cassandra to understand when each technology is most appropriate.

The MongoDB module introduces document-oriented database concepts, architecture, CRUD operations, data import and export, schema design, indexing, replica sets, sharding, and monitoring. Through practical exercises, participants will develop a better understanding of how different NoSQL technologies handle data storage, scalability, availability, and high-volume workloads.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to compare NoSQL database technologies, select appropriate solutions for different use cases, perform essential database operations, design effective data models, and apply administration and management techniques for modern distributed data environments.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals, architecture, and principles of NoSQL databases.
  • Explain distributed, decentralized, scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant database architectures.
  • Identify the major types of NoSQL databases and their appropriate use cases.
  • Compare the features, advantages, limitations, and operational requirements of different NoSQL technologies.
