Overview 

 

The 3-day Agile Project Management course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks like Scrum and Kanban. Designed for individuals and teams looking to adopt Agile in their projects, this course covers the entire Agile lifecycle from planning and execution to risk management and reporting. Through hands-on exercises and real-world simulations, participants will gain practical skills in Agile estimation, project tracking, and delivering value to customers efficiently. The course also introduces Agile metrics, risk management using the ROAM technique, and prepares participants for professional Scrum certification. 

 

Objectives 

 

  • Understand the Agile Manifesto, core values, and principles that guide Agile project management.
  • Differentiate between traditional and Agile project management, and know when to use each.
  • Apply Scrum and Kanban frameworks in real-world project environments, including managing sprints, tasks, and product backlogs.
  • Use Agile planning and estimation techniques to manage capacity, create effective user stories, and plan releases.
  • Track project progress using Agile tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Azure DevOps, and interpret Agile metrics like burndown/burnup charts.
  • Identify and manage risks using Agile-specific techniques such as the ROAM framework and impediment management.
  •  Understand Agile roles and responsibilities, including differences between a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, and Product Owner.
  • Prepare for professional Agile and Scrum certifications, including practice assessments and exam tips.
