Overview

Shell scripts are mostly used to avoid repetitive work. You can write a script to automate a set of instructions to be executed one after the other, instead of typing in the commands one after the other n number of times. It introduces various concepts to help you create script files and make them as robust as possible. Shell scripting is simple and efficient to use. The command and syntax are the same as that of other programming languages. The programmer can quickly write and start the shell scripts, interactive debugging.
